Privacy Policy

ANANCY (anancy.net) is a reading site. We built it to give knowledge away, not to collect yours. This page explains, in plain language, what little data is involved in visiting it.

1. What we collect

By default: nothing personal. This is a static website — there are no user accounts, no tracking pixels of ours, and no advertising networks.

• Server logs. Like almost every website, the server that hosts anancy.net may automatically record standard technical logs: the IP address a request came from, the page requested, the date and time, and the browser type. These logs are used only for security and to keep the site running, and are routinely deleted.
• Contact form. If you write to us through the contact page or by email, we receive what you send — your name, email address and message. We use it solely to reply to you.
• Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches those font files, Google's servers see the technical details of that request (such as your IP address). If you prefer to avoid this, the site remains fully readable with fonts blocked.

2. Cookies

anancy.net sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics cookie, no preference cookie, and no third-party advertising cookie.

3. What we do with data

• We reply to messages you send us.
• We keep the site secure and functioning.
• That is all. We do not sell, rent, trade or share personal information with anyone, and we never will.

4. Your rights

If you have written to us and would like your correspondence deleted, ask and it will be done. Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over personal data (such as access, correction and erasure); we honour such requests from anyone, regardless of jurisdiction.

5. Children

The site is a general-audience farming library. We do not knowingly collect any information from children; there is simply no mechanism on the site for doing so.

6. Links to other sites

Guides may link to outside resources. Once you leave anancy.net, this policy no longer applies — the destination site's own policy governs.

7. Changes to this policy

If the site ever changes in a way that affects your privacy — for example, if we add analytics or a newsletter — this page will be updated first, with the date above revised.
